About

Pharmacy educator and researcher based in Kathmandu

Ms. Poonam Pant is a young pharmacist and emerging academic with expertise in pharmacology and clinical pharmacy. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy at CiST College, affiliated with Pokhara University, Nepal. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she actively supervises undergraduate and postgraduate students in their research projects and contributes to academic and research activities within the institution.

She also serves as the Member Secretary of the CiST Institutional Review Committee (CiST-IRC), where she supports the ethical review and oversight of research conducted by faculty members and students, coordinates the review process, maintains research-related documentation, and facilitates communication between researchers and the committee.

Ms. Poonam Pant completed her master's degree in Pharmaceutical Care from Kathmandu University, Nepal, under the European Union's Erasmus+ mobility programme. As part of the programme, she undertook master thesis and research training in the Department of Pharmaceutical and Pharmacological Sciences at the University of Padova, Italy. Her academic and professional interests include clinical pharmacy, pharmacotherapy, pharmacology, rational drug use, and research in phytochemistry.
